A few things worth knowing
Three things are enough: the products you currently license and roughly what they cost you each month, the number of endpoints and clients you manage, and whether any client contract requires data to stay in a particular place. With those we can be concrete about what a deployment would look like instead of talking in generalities.
No. The platform is open source, so you can take the repository, stand it up on your own infrastructure and enroll your own machines without any commercial arrangement. We charge only if you want deployment help, migration work, training or a support agreement, and we will say so clearly before any of that starts.
Yes, and quite a few providers start that way. We run the deployment under an agreement while your team learns the platform, then hand over operations whenever you are ready. Because it is the same open-source software either way, a handover is a change of responsibility rather than a migration.
We would encourage it. Ask for an invitation in your message and we will introduce you, so you can put your questions to providers who are already running the platform rather than to the people who build it. Their answers about day to day operation are more useful than ours.
